George Grizzard

(Harry) Theater: Twenty Broadway plays, including Judgment at Nuremberg, A Delicate Balance (Tony Award), The Disenchanted (Tony nom.), Big Fish, Little Fish (Tony nom.), the original production of Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and Neil Simon’s California Suite. In London and Canada, he played Cap-n Andy in the Hal Prince production of Show Boat, and in theatres across the country the roles of Hamlet, Henry V, Richard III and Cyrano. Film: From the Terrace, Advise and Consent, Simon’s Seems Like Old Times and Wonder Boys, among others. Recent Regional: Do I Hear a Waltz (George Street), Tina Howe’s Rembrandt’s Gift (Actors Theater for Louisville); The Glass Menagerie (Charlotte Rep); Franny’s Way by Richard Nelson (Geffen Playhouse). Other LA Theatre: Taper: Twelfth Night, Henry IV, Chekov in Yalta, Dutch Landscape; Ahmanson: The Elephant Man, Ring Around the Moon; Matrix Theatre: Betrayal (LA Drama Critics Circle Award), The Tavern, and The Seagull (Dramalogue). Alexandra Gersten-Vassilaros

(Playwright) My Thing of Love (Broadway, Steppenwolf Theatre, Joseph Jefferson Award), Supple In Combat (Steppenwolf Theatre), I Never Told Anyone (a short play, McCarter Theatre) and Mother of Invention (Steppenwolf Theatre, Williamstown Theatre Festival). Her play, Omnium Gatherum, which she co-wrote with Theresa Reeck, premiered at the 2003 Humana Festival at Actors Theatre of Louisville and was subsequently produced Off-Broadway, as well as countless regional and international productions. Omnium Gatherum was a finalist for the 2004 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. A one act, The Airport Play, will appear this Spring’s EST Marathon 2005 and seven other short plays have been produced at the HB Playwrights Foundation. Her plays have been published by Samuel French and Smith and Kraus. As an actress, she recently appeared in last year’s premiere of Nicky Silver’s Beautiful Child (Vineyard Theatre) as well as productions in New York at EST, Second Stage, Primary Stages, HOME, New York Stage and Film Company and on Broadway. Special thanks to all the talented theatre artists who collaborated on The Argument in its many incarnations, especially dramaturg Len Berkman and the gang at New York Stage and Film Company where the play was workshopped last summer. Ms. Gersten-Vassilaros is a graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts, a member of Actors Studio, and the HB Playwrights Foundation. Terry Kinney

(Director) Co-founded the Steppenwolf Theatre Company with Gary Sinise and Jeff Perry, where his many directing credits include OF MICE AND MEN, FOOL FOR LOVE, STREAMERS, RECKLESS, A CLOCKWORK ORANGE, ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO’S NEST (2001 Tony Award, Best Revival) and A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE. For The Vineyard, he directed Gina Gionfriddo’s AFTER ASHLEY and Nicky Silver’s BEAUTIFUL CHILD and THE AGONY & THE AGONY. Other credits include reasons to be pretty (both MCC and on Broadway) and FIFTH OF JULY (Bay Street Theatre and Williamstown Theatre Festival). After directing the short film Kubuku Rides (This Is It) for Steppenwolf Films, Mr. Kinney directed his first full-length feature, Diminished Capacity with Matthew Broderick and Alan Alda (2008 Sundance Film Festival, distributed by IFC Films). Television appearances include HBO’s prison drama “Oz”, ABC’s “The Unusuals”, CBS’s “NYC22”, the HBO special “The Laramie Project”, among many others. Film appearances include Save the Last Dance, Sleepers, Fly Away Home, House of Mirth, No Mercy, Last of the Mohicans, The Firm, Devil in a Blue Dress, and the upcoming Promised Land, starring Matt Damon.
